How Soon Should I Reserve? The best studios should be reserved nine to twelve (9-12) months in advance. This is normal and to your benefit.
What is a "Pre Wedding" Shooting Session? Sometimes called an engagement sitting. This is a studio shooting session. The photographs are taken in the studio (or park location) before the wedding day. The "Pre Wedding Sitting" may be used to produce a photograph of the Bride & Groom for display at the reception. It can be mounted on a large matt border for guests to sign their names. Otherwise the pictures
may be enjoyed as family memories or for any other purpose.
What are proofs? These are first prints made at the time the negatives are processed. They are usually of poor quality with the word "PROOF", the name of the studio and the negative number imprinted across the front of the photograph. We do Not produce this type of proof. We present you with original quality prints to choose from. Original prints are Video analyzed, colour balanced and printed "Deep & Warm" for beautiful colour. Original prints are produced to our specific requirements. Original prints are included with your packages. Let us show you the difference between proofs and Original Prints. We call them Super Proofs. Originals are the same quality as the enlargements and may be added to your wedding album! Let us show you how this can be done.
Black & White Photographs Beautiful Black & White Prints are made from your original colour negatives. Kodak provides a new paper for printing B&W or Sepia ptotographs from colour negatives.
Do you offer Groom's Home coverage? Yes we do! This coverage is available by special request. One photographer can not handle both the Groom's Home and the Bride's Home efficiently. There is not sufficient time to setup and do a proper job at each location.
We provide two (2) photographers. This way you receive the best possible service! There is a charge for the second photographer.
Is there an Installment Plan? YES! All packages are paid for in three (3) or four (4) payments. Retainer at the time of reservation. A payment 30 days before the wedding. A payment when your proofs (or Video) are picked up. The balance when you place your final order. Three (3) to five (5) installments may be arranged. Photography: 1) RETAINER TO CONFIRM THE DATE. 2) Deposit 30 days before event. 3) Deposit when the Proofs (originals) are delivered. 4) Balance when the final order is placed. 5) It is possible to arrange for five (5) payments on the largest package. Video: 1) RETAINER TO CONFIRM THE DATE. 2) Deposit 30 days before event. 3) Balance when the finished Video is delivered.
Are all Studios the same? NO. The packages, products and services will vary from studio to studio. Make sure that you explain your expectations clearly! The benefits of a professional studio are photographing areas, studio facilities, back-up photographers, charge card services etc. When checking out a Studio, consider the following: Are there extensive samples or just one album? Is it the same wedding all through the sample or a mixture of the best shots from various weddings?

What About Wedding Package Prices? The 'Time On The Job' is the most important factor of the price. Your photographer is paid by the hour. Make sure that you are not comparing a five (5) hour coverage to an 'all day' coverage. They will be different even though the number of pictures you receive remains the same. IS AN ALBUM INCLUDED? With a Quality Futura Album the package price would increase by $350.00 to 600.00. With a basic album the price would increase by about $150.00. At Browne Photography (except where stated) packages do not include a bride's book. More than just the price! There is a lot more to wedding photography than just pointing the camera and pushing the button. Years from now the price will be forgotten! However, your photographs will be treasured memories.

Family Portraits What should we wear? You may dress casual or formally as you wish. Please avoid "White". Have everyone in closely matching tones. This should be medium or dark tones. For example if everyone is wearing blue jean outfits, do not have one person in a bright red dress. This one person will dominate the picture. The same for white. White attracts attention and takes colour away from the photograph. Do we get the proofs? You choose from 'finished prints' not proofs. The sitting fee includes a certain number of the finished prints. What is a sitting fee? This fee covers the photographers time, cost of film & processing and gives you a specific number of the finished prints size 5x5". What pictures do you take? A variety of pictures are taken. We have several studio settings, indoors and outdoors. For example, a family of five persons will have several full group pictures. Then the children taken as a group and individually. Then parent are photographed as a couple and separately. If grandparents are present they too will be taken alone, with the entire family and with their grandchildren. You can also suggest poses. Your Executive Portrait Is a tool for business success. Executive portraits can be done at your office or our Studio. The sitting will take only 20 minutes. Plan ahead for the sitting. Do not leave things to a deadline. Relax. Have a haircut, dress in medium to dark tones, take the pictures early in the day when you are rested. Remember how you look determines how your client or employer reacts to you. Sitting Fee: Covers the photographer's time, processing, printing and a number of "first" prints. Retouching & Enhancement: This is done digitally by computer. Because the amount of digital work can not be determined in advance, this is quoted individually.
